Coach Sam Koleduk
U12 Girls, U8-9 Academy Director, Director of Recreational Soccer

Sam Koleduk will be the new Director of Recreation for the St. Pete Raiders Soccer Club.  Sam will also be the Boys U-8/9 Academy Director and U-12 Girls Head Coach. Other duties will include running the Recreation Academy Nights and SOE – School of Excellence.

Coach Koleduk is currently the Head Boys Soccer Coach at Sunlake High School. This past season he led Sunlake to a 29-2-1 overall record and a #13 National Ranking. Koleduk was named St. Pete Times Coach of the Year and coached the Florida State High School 3A Player of the Year and Florida Mr. Soccer 2014. The Sunlake Seahawk’s are 60-3-1 overall the last two years and reached the State Final 4 in back-to-back seasons. Koleduk was named All-North Suncoast Coach of the Year and was a finalist for Florida State Coach of the Year and NSCAA National Coach of the Year for 2014.

Coach Koleduk was also the Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach and Mid East Region Soccer Representative at Cincinnati Christian University in Ohio. He was named 2005 NSCAA National Coach of the Year and 2005- 2006 Mid East Region Coach of the Year.  He led the Men’s program to a 42-5 record with a National Runner-Up finish in 2005 and 4th place finish in 2006. Koleduk also had two straight Mid East Region Championships. He coached 7 All-Americans and the team scored 260 goals and gave up just 35 in two seasons.  On the women’s side they went 10-5-1 in their first season back after not fielding a team for two years.  The women’s team won the Mid East Region Championship and finished 5th in the nation and had three All-Americans including the nation’s leading goal scorer.

Coach Koleduk began his coaching career at his Alma Matter Gulf High School where he was the Head Varsity Soccer Coach.  He led the team to nearly 90 wins in just six seasons and many of his players went on to play at the college level. He was also named SAC Coach of the Year, St. Pete Times Coach of the Year and Tampa Tribune Coach of the Year. He also led Gulf High School to the state playoffs two times.

Koleduk was a player himself.  He was a four year starter and Two Time All-American at Saint Leo University and was recently inducted into the Saint Leo University and Sunshine State Conference Hall of Fame. He was also a 4 time All-Conference and a 4 time All-South Region selection and is also a member of the Silver Anniversary team for the Sunshine State Conference that represents the twenty-two best players of all-time. Koleduk is the schools all-time leading scorer with 77 goals, 33 assists for 187 total points and ranks in the NCAA DII top ten all-time in goals scored and many other categories.

He started his professional career in 1996 where he was a first round draft pick 5th overall of the Canton Invaders in the National Professional Soccer League. He also played for the Lexington Bluegrass Bandits, New Hampshire Phantoms, West Florida Fury and several other teams. He trained with the original Tampa Bay Rowdies of the NASL, Dallas Sidekicks of the CASL and was also a player coach for Pasco FC of the Florida Suncoast Soccer League.

Coach Koleduk is an active member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. He holds a NSCAA National Youth Diploma, NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma and a State of Florida K-12 Coaching Certificate. Koleduk is also certified in CPR/AED and First Aid.

He is married to Kearney Moon Koleduk and they have three amazing boys Sammy, Cole and Casey all of whom play soccer for the St. Pete Raiders.
