From The Desk of Tony Paris, CEO:

I would like to bring you up to speed on all the good things that have happened this past season as well as some other information. Our club program continues to flourish and grow, with many of the teams having had an extremely good year.

Our U-11 Girls team won seven tournaments and came in first in Division 1.  Quite a feat in itself! Our U-12 Boys played a year up this year to gain the intricacies of 11 vs.11 and fared very well for an acclimation year.  They are currently slated as third in the state! The U16 Boys made the Super Y National finals and narrowly missed first place in a heart breaker game.   Many of our other teams also did well in both league and tournament play. However, it’s not all about the winning. Development and fun for our players is of the utmost importance.

Our Recreational program is also faring well with professional training available for those that require it. The School of Excellence and Rec Academy has made a quantum leap in helping get our very young players to the next level, so it is with great excitement that we look toward next season. We want to be sure that they will be playing the game as they get older and not suffer burnout, which is at 75% in all youth sports.  We have to be mindful that these players are children and not professionals - well, not yet!

Our two big events of the year were both the 5K and the best of The Bay Tournament, which went off extremely well and will be fixtures on our calendar from here on in.. Thank you to the volunteers that helped make both events a success.
